So let’s Start…
How to earn money traveling:
Technically, anybody could earn money by traveling and there are 2 known ways to do this. But first, you need to be outgoing and adventurous for this to work. So you can’t do this if you are timid on traveling, but if you are like DORA and is always on the look out for the adventure, then this is right for you. Most people earn money from traveling by creating (1) Travel Blogs or (2) from Sponsorship.
Regardless of whatever you choose as your method (could be both), just keep in mind this few things before you go and pack your bags for that travel money journey.
Tip 1: Travel Blogs
Creating a travel blog is not that hard but creating a content that will engage your travel reviewers and enthusiast might be a challenge. This could be online as articles or could be a video blog – it doesn’t matter.
Most of the time, people will go to your blog to do a quick glimpse on where you traveled (if it is good or bad). They will also would want to know your experience and also good spots or activities that could be done on that location. So you have to provide a good content with matching description on what to expect. Often bloggers forget about this and this causes further confusion for the would-be-traveler who just read your blog. Make it true, easy to read, and engaging. Also, you could earn money by providing ads to your sites and also impressions from either google, yahoo, or any affiliate programs (like agoda).
Tip 2: Sponsorship
If your blog is already well known, or you have a show in youtube – then hopefully you could earn money (or even free travel expense) from your sponsors. This could be travel agencies or companies (search AIR ASIA) that could provide incentives if you are a frequent traveler or a known travel guru. This not only helps the company to market their services/products but also promotes your site and the location where you also traveled – developing further tourism businesses (WIN-WIN Situation). By the time you have reached this level, then you are now a full pledged travelogue a-la Geographique.
So, you see, it’s an interesting way to earn profits but also a good lifestyle to live by. However, always remember that you have a better chance of getting successful on this business if you have other businesses or investments too.
