Veteran and Ex-Military Business in the Philippines.

Most of the expats here in the Philippines are often from the military career or had experience in the military. But living here in the Philippines often creates problems due to financial difficulty. They span from loss of income to expensive lifestyle.

I am not going to be talking about those problems (you know those already) but I will discuss on few things that could benefit veterans and ex-military personnel on creating business here in the Philippines.

1.Security Consultancy/Contractor – Security consultancy job is often the big-cheese for veterans and military personnel alike. They could offer viable info and services needed to secure assets (or protect them) depending on the contract. The money on this field does not exist in being an employee itself BUT CREATING THE BUSINESS would provide you with the profit. Look for non-government agencies or even “private” sector (i.e. Politicians) and offer your services. You will be surprised how much they pay to secure LIFE and PROPERTY.

2.Investigative Services – Here in the Philippines, the pot-hole of crime and corruption never stops providing villains. From rape, kidnapping, murder, red-tapes, even corporate smuggling; investigators are there to provide help. In accordance with the Law in the Philippines, incidence such as 1st degree crimes are often laid to private detective agencies – this is where you would come in. Somebody with military or LEA experience will be beneficial for this field.

3.Information/Intel Market – Some call it a “spy network”. But not exactly as a means of providing profit- it’s just a side work really. Often you could do this if you have your own “place” such as a bar or a hostel. Here in the Philippines, you could spot them if you try to find enough. They provide info on petty to serious crimes but their service will be dependent on the location itself. Thus, this business may literally not see the light itself, but it always shines for the one’s who use it for political or national interest.

Go ahead and use those skills in the Military and remember, the military does not teach you profitable skills, they teach you to use that head and create a profitable environment on your advantage.
